In fact we created the HEART WIDE OPEN – Self-Care for Caregivers handbook because we’ve felt that way too. We filled it with gentle reminders and simple suggestions you can do, even in the middle of a very busy caregiving day. Some people say they feel relief just holding it in their hands! Others use it as a touchstone – in their pocket or on the bureau – to remind them to remember to take good care of themselves too. After all…if you don’t take good care of yourself, how can you take care of anyone else?

Sterling Heart is a tiny company founded by two hospice volunteers with big ideas about supporting caregivers by offering caregiver resources to touch the heart and nourish the soul.

In addition to HEART WIDE OPEN – Self-Care for Caregivers (with more than 25,000 copies in circulation, soothing caregivers everywhere), we also created and distribute uplifting, healing and positive music that is used with patients, patient families and healthcare professionals.

We also offer workshops and seminars designed to give you the support you need including tools for the caregiving journey. Plus our beautiful DVD, INVITATION TO SLUMBER, is a combination of nature photography and harp music guaranteed to help you de-stress.
